Detroit Social Club est un groupe de rock anglais formé en 2007, groupe ayant par ailleurs fondé le label “Fuck Pop“. Leur dernier EP, sorti en 2010, est un petit bijou d’indie rock, un ensemble de titres un peu cadros et qui produit un effet fort sympathique. “I Am Revolution” sera leur prochain, c’est également le titre de leur nouveau single.
En somme, leur musique se reflète dans leurs propos : “The music becomes a product that must be saleable. It must justify the investment… for us, being in a band isn’t about chasing fame or fortune. It’s about the music… we wanted to emancipate ourselves to be able to do this in our own way“. Detroit Social Club, c’est un rock décomplexé, des titres simples et efficaces, un groupe qui pense au riff plutôt qu’à ses retombées médiatiques.
